Our mission is to pursue Jesus Christ through fitness, community, and discipleship, using basketball as a platform to encourage, coach, and challenge those we serve for the glory of our Savior.
We offer spring travel basketball teams (February–May) for athletes ages 10–14, including weekly practices and competitive weekend tournaments. Throughout the year, we host 3v3 events, 5v5 age-specific tournaments, and skill-focused training opportunities designed to develop both athletes and character.
We are deeply committed to community, providing faith-aligned guest speakers and family-focused events that strengthen relationships and point hearts toward Christ Jesus.
“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” —
1 Corinthians 10:31
JR Sirotta: Co-CEO, COO
JR's coaching and life experiences help him bring a wealth of knowledge, instruction, and organization to his desire of spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to many. His big heart and true love for people helps him connect well with people that may need help to develop a self-confidence in who God created them to be. He started Heirborn to provide a space for anyone and everyone to be celebrated and loved, and to encounter the Holy Spirit with the desire to spend eternity with the people he meets.
Deb Bearden: Co-CEO, CFO
Deb’s gifts and life experiences are a powerful asset to her passion for seeing people encounter salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, so they can truly know their identity in Him. Her sensitivity, compassion, and the wisdom she’s gained as a mom of three boys in sports allow her to create a safe, welcoming environment where people can learn, grow, and feel seen.
She founded Heirborn out of a deep determination to provide a space where every young athlete can connect, feel loved, and understand that they matter. Her heart is to make sure no one is overlooked and that each person has the opportunity to discover who they are—both on the court and in Christ.
By the grace of God, we are born again in spirit & faith, living in the hope of eternity with Christ Jesus.
Our staff has a great passion to share the way of Jesus to all His creation.
Heirborn is a program that is centered on Jesus Christ, while utilizing our God given ability to play an amazing game. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, and we pray that he can use our gifts to develop a work ethic, a joy and a newfound confidence in the athletes that come through our programs. Bluntly, every child deserves a fair chance to grow spiritually, mentally, and athletically, and we are choosing the game of basketball to provide that chance.
